Tread & Drainage Rebuild
RebuildPrice basis: per linear foot
Regrading the walking surface and cutting new drainage — grade dips, waterbars, or a rolling grade depending on the slope — on sections that have eroded down to root and bare subsoil. Most of our repeat work is this: a trail that was fine for a decade and then, after one bad spring, started carrying water down the tread instead of shedding it to the side.
We regrade in eight- to twelve-foot sections working uphill, so a crew of two or three can finish a stretch and see water actually moving off it before moving to the next. We won't rebuild a section and skip the drainage cut to save a day; that's the exact shortcut that causes the failure we're usually hired to fix.
